Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider — we never see your password).

When you build a hint board, we store the photos you upload, your style notes, your ring size if you choose to share it, and the email addresses of the recipients you designate.

When you use the nudge feature, we store your email address and the email address of the person you ask us to contact.

We use privacy-respecting analytics and standard server logs (IP address, browser type) to keep the service running and secure.

To operate HitchHint: showing your board to the recipients you chose, sending the notification emails you request, and letting recipients verify their identity with a one-time code.

To send transactional email on your behalf — hint notifications, follow-ups, and nudge introductions. Every email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, and we never email anyone who has opted out.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your photos or notes with anyone except the recipients you designate.

Sponsored jeweler placements may appear on hint boards and in emails. Advertisers never receive your personal information — they only know their ad was shown.

HitchHint sends email to recipients and nudge contacts at the request of our users. These addresses are used only to deliver the requested messages, are never sold or shared, and every message includes a one-click unsubscribe. Once an address unsubscribes, we stop all mail to it.

Your data is stored with Supabase (database and file storage) and processed by Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Stripe (payments — we never see your card number). All are established providers with their own security and privacy programs. Data is stored in the United States.

You can edit or delete your hint board at any time from your dashboard. Deleting your board removes your photos, notes, and recipient list from our systems.

To delete your account entirely, or to request a copy or deletion of any data we hold about you, email hello@hitchhint.com and we'll take care of it within 30 days.

Anyone receiving HitchHint email can opt out permanently using the unsubscribe link in any message.

HitchHint is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and note the new effective date below.
